Strategic Marketing Manager

The Strategic Marketing Manager is accountable for the product line strategy and go-to-market plan. He / she is responsible for analyzing the market and forecasting future demand, assessing the competitive landscape and industry trends and analyzing customer requirements and buying behavior, for the company’s products and services. He / she is also responsible for developing the sector strategic plan. The Product Manager also manages the marketing mix of the sector products, working in conjunction with program directors, marketing, sales and sales operations and the site leaders.
Responsibilities:
Market Analysis
Addressable market: Prepare customer and aircraft segmentation, fleet data and dynamics, profiling
Demand forecast: Evaluate the size of the addressable market relevant to each product, derived analytically and benchmarked against industry experts
Market intelligence: Act as a central repository of information about competitors and customers, and produce synthesis of impact on the business Sector Strategic Plan
Prepare relevant analysis and presentation material to construct the sector strategic plan, including market analysis, product positioning, revenue and profitability build-up and other as needed
Business Development
Prepare relevant market and competitive analysis used in developing new business opportunities, new products or business alliances
Develop and prepare communication material content articulating the value proposition and competitive advantage of the business aviation sector
Marketing Mix
Develop product marketing plans that articulate price, promotional activities and key messages, product definition and distribution channels
Support the development of business plans for new products and programs with applicable market analysis demand forecast and pricing.
Requirements:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in business administration, finance, marketing or engineering
Analytical and Strategic Mindset
3-5 years Experience in product management, strategic planning, consulting or business development, preferably in business or commercial aviation
Strong Data Orientation and Analysis Capability demonstrated in previous roles
Excellent Communication Skills: Verbal, Written, Presentation
MRO Experience a Plus
Physical Requirements:
Sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
Manipulate a telephone, calculator and/or computer keyboard
Speak audibly and intelligibly on the telephone and/or in person
Able to think clearly and logically
