| Advertising Sales Rep ( APX ALARM ) Advertising/Sales Rep.: Summer Employment avg. $25,000/summer Duties: We are an APX alarm authorized dealer. You will be responsible to promote APX Security through door-to-door marketing of alarm system packages. During the summer program, Rep will give the basic alarm package to home- &/or business-owners free of charge in exchange for advertising rights (a small sign in their lawn/window; owner shall also be responsible for a 36 or 60 month monitoring contract). A daily meeting is required, generally starting around 12 pm, and advertising solicitation generally ends between 8 and 9 pm. Reps will complete contract paperwork on site at the homes/businesses which subscribe. Reps must be physically capable of door-to-door sales and must have a working cellular phone. Training: No experience is required, but does help and paid training is available at a rate of $100 per training attended. To be eligible for the training bonus, training must be completed before the summer program begins. Pre-season sales are offered in some cities and help to learn and prepare for the summer. Trainees are responsible for their own transportation to and from trainings. The maximum amount that a Rep may receive for training/pre-season sales is $1000. Salary/Compensation: Pay is commission based—the average first-year Rep last year made $25,000 during the summer program. Bonuses are contingent on the Rep completing the summer term (May-Aug; for students the term end date will be at least three days prior to the beginning of fall semester, arrangements can also be made to fit around school schedules). Reps living in company housing are not required to have a vehicle, as transportation to/from the marketing areas will be provided. Reps may increase their earnings by selling customers Alarm System Upgrades (see contract for details). The total income of the Rep is based upon the total number of alarm systems sold and which remain in Good Standing through the end of the year. The Rep will be paid weekly $200 /account for all accounts installed during the previous week. Bonuses shall be paid in September and January. Incentives are regular and generous.
