Job Description
with over 320 outpatient clinics in 40 states, seeks a stellar Physical Therapist to join our team. We treat acute musculoskeletal injuries in working men and women. Most of our clinics are open M-F from 8-5, so our therapists enjoy a work/life balance. We also spend 'hands on' time with our patients, as our therapists typically see 11-13 patients/day, so the caseload is manageable.
Candidates must have a degree in Physical Therapy, and candidate should have previous experience in an outpatient orthopedics setting.

Provides rehabilitative services for the treatment of disabled, injured and diseased patients in a center in accordance with Medical Centers Injury Process Management and Medical Centers philosophy of rehabilitation in occupational medicine and Concentra policies, practices and procedures and applicable regulations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Responsibilities (Process Management / Content Management skills)
-Conducts evaluations on physician referrals and develops appropriate treatment plans.
-Ensures other treating medical professionals have necessary information to evaluate patients functional
-Communicates with all medical providers regarding patients and diagnoses.
-Communicates with all therapy patients, setting expectations for return-to-work and emphasizing education and motivation.
-Develops knowledge of best demonstrated practices and specific quality indicators to measure and improve them.
-Communicates with employers concerning specific rehabilitation issues of injured employees, and meets with employers to discuss early intervention philosophy.
-Participates with leadership team overseeing daily operation and direction of the center.
-Ensures operations are consistent with medical policy and professional standards in occupational medicine.
-Establishes policies and procedures for the center.
-Establishes budgetary goals.
-Coordinates with the leadership team to keep missed appointment rates within acceptable ranges.
Business / Financial Responsibilities
-Evaluates capital equipment and staff needed to fulfill rehabilitation responsibilities.
-Participates with leadership team to bring new business to the center.
-Provides statistical analysis of the centers therapy performance.
-Establishes and promotes clear lines of communication between therapy and other center staff members.
-Tracks and documents pre-authorization requirements according to state standards in the patients chart.
Supervisory Responsibilities
-Directly responsible for interviewing all prospective therapy staff.
-Provides feedback to the Directors regarding the eligibility of the candidate(s) for hiring.
-Coordinates the centers therapy staff schedules to ensure efficient productivity while meeting client needs.
-Evaluates the performance of all therapy staff members.
-Recommends to the Directors regarding new levels of compensation and provides supporting documentation.
-Participates with the Center Administrator in the annual performance review process of all front office staff involved with the therapy department and will assist with determining the new levels of compensation.
-Evaluates the performance of all therapy staff members for the purpose of promotion and solicits recommendations.
-Directly responsible for the disciplinary process for all therapy staff members.
-Identifies issues in need of disciplinary action and documentation necessary to clearly define them and make recommendations.
-Conducts the disciplinary action after consultation with the direct supervisor and the appropriate Human Resources Representative.
-Determines the point at which the action has been corrected, further discipline must be conducted, or termination is necessary.
-Directly responsible for the termination of the therapy staff.
Other Responsibilities
-Communicates with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or the Case Manager for each patient.
-Participates in clinical instruction of university therapist and/or therapist assistant students.
-Evaluates the effectiveness of the rehabilitation quality management process and implements new and improved processes.
-Ensures compliance with the rules and regulations established by the relevant licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
-Develops a working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the State Workers Compensation law.
-Develops or improves occupational medicine services and overall teamwork.
-Meets with the Regional Therapy Director or the designee on a regular to discuss quality of patient care, procedures, records, review of new policies and other issues as indicated.
-Participates regularly in professional continuing education.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
-BS or advanced degree in Physical Therapy
-Must meet licensure requirements of jurisdiction
JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
-Two years clinical experience with occupational health background
JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
-Demonstrated interest in leadership of therapy staff
-Demonstrated clinical knowledge of physical/occupational therapy services
-Demonstrated leadership qualities and administrative abilities to the job responsibilities as described
-Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to exercise proper judgment, make decisions, and motivate employees.
